When I started this blog I wasn’t sure if I should write in danish or english, and I figured it can’t be decided before I have tried both, so here goes!.jpg)
This post is about the great weekend I had a few days ago. As writen before I went to the Switchfoot concert in Silkeborg together with Steph, and she brought along Josefine, Krystle, Jenny and some others that I don’t know. We found a good spot close to the stage, as you can see on this picture:
The concert was awesome with great music, lots of jumping and a very LIVE band on (and off) the stage. They were very much aware of the audience and played extra songs on request of someone who shouted loud enough. The lead singer did some cool stunts like jumping off the big drum, and at one point he even stepped out balancing on the railing in front of the stage, with the crowd going wild! I really enjoyed the show, even though people were pushing and jumping on my toes and stuff like that, but I guess it’s all part of the experience, and it gave me a good excuse to push back
This was one of the best concerts I have been to lately, and I must say that it is much better to hear Switchfoot live than from your stereo at home (not that it’s bad at home).

You can find more nice pictures from the concert here.
After the show, me and Steph went to the station to get a train back to Århus. The train was already waiting there when we arrived, so we quickly bought some tickets and jumped in. We soon found out that the train was not going to Århus, but instead going the opposite direction, and because it was kinda late, there were no other trains going to Århus except from Silkeborg. So we had to get off at the next stop, get a taxi back to Silkeborg and get in the next train to Århus. And because there aren’t really any busses driving around town at 1:30 at night, we had to walk home from Viby J station, about 5 km. I had no problems falling asleep when we finally got home!
The next day we went to Århus Cafékirke, and as Tvesok already wrote, the café was full and we had to bring in some extra chairs to make room for everyone. I always enjoy being in the café, and it only gets better the more people we are. Being a lead singer also becomes much more enjoyable when you can really hear the others singing along, not only your own voice and the band amplified through the speakers
It makes it easier to turn your attention to God, forget any worries, and just praise him like he truly deserves!
After the service, those of us who didn’t leave started preparing the food for the homeless people that would soon join us, and the rest of the evening passed by with eating, talking or just being there and listen. We also played a rather loud and aggressive card game called “fjols”. I very much enjoyed being there, and I think our five visitors did as well, and I hope they will come back on next saturday and bring some of their friends!
